Role responsibilities:
The Regional Application Engineer Manager role will be in charge of leading the regional engineering team to ensure and promote the development and the qualification of venting solutions for vehicle electrification
To perform this role, the Engineering Manager will
- Manage, plan and control the regional application engineering teams to ensure efficiency, responsiveness, technical support to internal and external customers in such way that corporate growth target are being met while ensuring compliance with all applicable market standard such as IATF16949.
- Collect and report information on the vehicle electrification market technological evolution (mainly focused in automotive and Fuel Cell markets) such that new products are being released on time to support the corporate growth target.
- Act as an engineering project leader ensuring the team are are executing projects in due time with the expected performance, deliverables and cost, mainly focused in automotive and Fuel Cell markets.
- Manage the support provided by the application engineer to the sales team in order to ensure qualitative technical support and ensure success of business unit opportunities.
- Communicate, present, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, internally and externally.
- Manage the engineering team to propagate knowledge, voice of customer, and develop innovative solutions for our team and customers.
- Manage and Support customer regarding products that are in serial production phase for which issues would be reported (CAPA)
- Understand and forecast potential future market trends (customer unmet needs, new applications, competitions...)
- Self-initiative and energetic candidate strongly interested in interacting with customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering - Mechanical Engineer, Automotive Engineer or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Automotive Market knowledge & experience with related quality requirements (e.g.: APQP, FMEA, DVP&R, SPC, 8D, CAPA, PPAP)
- First experience as engineering / project manager, ... to demonstrate experience with guidance, help with training and review work of any team members
- Fluent in English
Travel:
- Ability to travel up to 25%
