About the Business

The role holder will be responsible for the day to day management of the Quilter Crisis Management Centre (CMC) and the facilitation of crisis command and control protocols incorporating the gold, silver and bronze model.
The CMC is responsible for the corporate response to incidents and crises that could impact on staff safety, business continuity and customer confidence. This is underpinned by a rigorous training and scenario testing programme to ensure that the various business functions are resilient and prepared.
Corporate business continuity is dependent on strong links and communication with critical third-party providers, knowledge of the company’s important business services and an understanding of operational resilience principles. This includes the recording and review of disruptive events impacting on business resilience.
The maintenance of robust standards of physical security is an important component in preventing incidents and ensuring that the safety of our people and estate is prioritised. The role holder will work with frontline security staff to oversee and progress this area.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the company’s command and control response to crises and critical incidents including the facilitation of meetings and briefing products.

  • Operate on a 24/7 basis managing the CMC to fully support the business against threats and disruptions. This includes on-call responsibilities.

  • Support the facilitation of crisis management training, deliver specialist presentations and design crisis and business continuity exercise scenarios.

  • Supervision and development of a small team producing assessments and reports relating to tactical threats to Quilter.

  • Work with other functions to ensure that operational resilience and business continuity is reviewed, tested, and maintained as business as usual.

  • Produce detailed and accurate written reports for the benefit of incident review, reporting upwards and implementing corporate learning and best practice.

  • Maintain, manage and educate the company’s on-call crisis management cadre.

  • Provide managerial resilience by deputising for the Head of Security & Crisis Management when required.

  • Participate in sensitive projects and work streams as required by the Head of Crisis Management.

  • Oversight of the security arrangements for the Quilter estate to ensure it is safe and secure.

  • Relevant operational experience gained in a corporate, military, law enforcement or government agency environment.

  • Academic and professional qualifications in any relevant field (preferred but not essential).
