As Regional Community Lead for League of Legends in EMEA, you will lead the region’s communications, social, influencer, and community strategy. You will ensure every message, post, creator partnership, and community activation reflects League’s voice and strengthens our connection with players. Acting as the regional counterpart to the Global Editor in Chief, you will maintain storytelling alignment across markets while tailoring it to resonate authentically with diverse EMEA audiences.

You will guide and support local Community Leads, shaping culturally relevant narratives and player-first community initiatives that deliver on product and publishing goals. You’ll take point on crisis communications for the region, manage the prioritization of communications resources, and act as the craft lead for all things community, content, social, influencer, and comms across EMEA. 

This role may be performed from London, Berlin, Paris, or Barcelona.

Responsibilities:
  • Own and lead League of Legends’ EMEA-wide comms, social, influencer, and community strategy
  • Serve as the regional counterpart to the Global Editor in Chief, maintaining alignment and consistency of storytelling across all EMEA markets
  • Partner with local Community Leads to shape culturally relevant narratives, creator collaborations, and community initiatives that drive product and publishing outcomes
  • Lead regional crisis communications response and prioritize communications efforts based on player and product impact
  • Directly manage the LoL EMEA PR Strategist, ensuring they drive media relations and strategic communications outcomes across the region
  • Source, onboard, and manage channel-specific agencies and/or independent contractors
  • Act as the craft lead for community, content, social, influencer, and communications across the region, raising the quality bar for all channels
  • Support day-to-day campaign communications execution in partnership with local teams
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across country Community Leads, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and best practice sharing
  • Elevate regional sentiment and key community insights to global teams in partnership with the RPPL to inform global strategy
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years in communications, social media, community, or related fields within games, entertainment, or tech
  • Proven experience leading integrated comms and community strategies at a regional or multi-market level
  • Strong crisis communications management experience
  • Demonstrated success in crafting culturally relevant campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, able to influence without direct authority
  • Experience directly managing people within a high-performing organisation
  • Background in agency and vendor management at the pan-regional or global level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages a plus)
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working with global and local publishing teams to adapt storytelling for regional audiences
  • Proven ability to integrate influencer, creator, and community strategies into broader marketing campaigns
  • Track record of managing social and content strategies for live service games or esports
  • Deep understanding of MOBA gaming culture and the League of Legends player community
