The Manager of Analytics, Counterparty Risk, will serve as a strategic leader responsible for developing the analytics infrastructure that protects Aqua Finance from credit and fraud risk. In this role, you will design KPIs, monitoring frameworks, and predictive models that proactively identify emerging risks across applications, sales channels, and dealer partners. You will lead fraud detection initiatives, develop dealer risk scorecards, implement early-warning rules, and define the organization’s risk appetite and escalation thresholds. Working cross-functionally with teams across credit, product, sales, underwriting, data, and engineering, you will translate complex analytical insights into clear, actionable recommendations for business leaders. Your work will directly influence executive decision-making through risk committee materials, dashboards, and reporting that shape portfolio health and long-term strategy.
Essential Functions
Design KPIs, early-warning indicators, and predictive models to manage credit and fraud risk effectively
Lead fraud detection initiatives by building monitoring systems and analyzing structured and unstructured data to identify trends and emerging risks
Develop and maintain comprehensive dealer risk scorecards covering fraud, credit, operational performance, and compliance metrics
Implement early monitoring rules and alerts to detect abnormal activity at the application, sales representative, and dealer levels
Define risk appetite, fraud controls, and escalation thresholds to ensure proactive risk management
Collaborate cross-functionally with credit, product, sales, underwriting, data, and engineering teams to deliver shared objectives
Prepare risk committee materials and executive dashboards highlighting dealer health, fraud trends, and portfolio performance
Communicate complex information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, or commensurate work experience required
5 years of experience in risk analytics, fraud management, or dealer performance oversight
2 years of people management experience required
Background in home improvement or RV financing strongly preferred
Financial industry experience preferred
Proficiency in SQL (Snowflake), BI tools (Power BI), and programming languages such as Python or R
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced MS Excel skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth work environment

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, visualize, talk, hear, and handle or operate objects or controls. The position may occasionally require lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 20 pounds. This is an office-based role that requires the ability to sit for extended periods, with approximately 90% of the workday spent using a computer.
