The contribution you will bring to this role: 

The Apprentice Management Accountant will support the finance team whilst undertaking a Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship, providing the foundation for a successful career in management accounting.

Working closely with the Group Financial Controller and wider finance team, the successful candidate will gain practical experience across all aspects of finance within an international manufacturing business, including financial reporting, management accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.

This is a structured development role designed for an individual who has recently completed A Levels or an equivalent Level 3 qualification and is looking to build a long-term career in finance. Through a combination of practical experience and professional study, the Apprentice Management Accountant will develop the technical knowledge and commercial understanding required to progress into an Assistant Management Accountant position.

What you will do at Justrite: 

 Financial Operations

  • Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with customer invoicing and cash allocation.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records within the ERP system.
  • Process employee expenses and company credit card transactions.
  • Support supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and cash postings.

Financial Reporting

  • Assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly management information.
  • Support month-end close activities, including journals and reconciliations.
  • Produce financial reports and KPI information.
  • Assist with variance analysis and financial reporting.
  • Support budget and forecast preparation.

Financial Control

  • Assist with inventory reconciliations and stock reporting.
  • Support fixed asset accounting.
  • Assist with intercompany reconciliations.
  • Support VAT and compliance reporting.
  • Prepare information required for internal and external audits.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained accurately and in accordance with company procedures.

Business Support

  • Assist finance colleagues with ad hoc analysis and reporting.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department.
  • Develop knowledge of manufacturing finance and business operations.
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues across the UK and Canadian businesses.
  • Participate fully in the apprenticeship programme and complete all required coursework and professional development.


 

Your skills and expertise: 

To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:  

Basic Qualifications 

  • Recently completed A Levels, BTEC or an equivalent Level 3 qualification.
  • GCSE Mathematics and English (Grade 5/C or above preferred).
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • A genuine interest in developing a career in accounting and finance. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • A Level in Mathematics, Business, Economics or Accounting.
  • An understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • An interest in studying towards AAT and progressing to ACCA or CIMA.

Training & Development

The successful candidate will undertake a fully funded Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship combining practical workplace experience with structured learning.

Following successful completion, there will be opportunities to progress to a Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician Apprenticeship, Assistant Management Accountant and, subject to performance, further professional qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA.

Compensation:
