At Hollis, our MEP Engineering team works across some of the UK's most interesting commercial, industrial and mixed-use property portfolios, delivering practical technical advice throughout the property lifecycle.

We're looking for an M&E Engineer or Senior M&E Engineer to join our growing London team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied workload combining technical surveys, dilapidations, due diligence and engineering consultancy.

The role:

You will work closely with surveyors, project managers and technical specialists to provide expert M&E advice across a broad range of instructions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out M&E building and condition surveys

  • Preparing reports for technical due diligence and acquisitions

  • Supporting dilapidations assessments and settlement negotiations

  • Inspecting mechanical and electrical installations and advising on repair, reinstatement and lifecycle requirements

  • Undertaking schedules of condition and pre-acquisition surveys

  • Advising clients on maintenance liabilities, compliance and asset performance

  • Working alongside our Building Surveying and Dilapidations teams on lease-end and refurbishment projects

  • Developing client relationships and identifying opportunities for additional services

Your profile:

We're interested in speaking with candidates who have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering

  • Experience carrying out building services surveys within the commercial property sector

  • Knowledge of dilapidations, landlord & tenant matters or technical due diligence

  • Experience preparing technical reports for clients

  • Strong communication and client-facing skills

  • Chartered status (MCIBSE, MIET or equivalent) or ambition to achieve chartership
