The Sales and Business Development Account Executive will develop and execute Sales and Business Development Strategies for Telesat Lightspeed LEO Services and Solutions in the CEU region.  

Main responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and team with Telesat’s Global Account Sales team by offering additional sales and business development support for existing GEO customers. 
  • Evangelize Telesat Lightspeed in the market, create interest for Telesat LEO at decision making level (C-suite, technology/planning heads), influence long-term network strategy and connectivity requirements of prospects
  • Build sales and distribution channel partnerships in the CEU region
  • Responsible for developing and executing a business plan for all in CEU: i.e. MNOs, Large and Small Telcos, WISPs, Service Providers, and Large Enterprise customers. This includes closing agreements with customers for future services.
  • Pipeline and account planning
  • Responsible for alignment of activities and objectives across virtual teams including solution engineering, product and sales operations

Education and experience required:

  • 15+ years of sales and business development experience within the Satellite and/or Telecommunications Industry. 
  • Extensive knowledge of EMEA and more specifically CEU markets, key players and dynamics
  • Extensive experience in Satellite and/or Enterprise domains is required
  • Must have a proven track record in Business development and Sales activities where you exceeded targets and captured new accounts with Large TELCOS, MNOs and Managed Service providers.
  • Experience in designing and executing sales strategies and sell Telesat's value proposition of our GEO and LEO Lightspeed offerings at the “C suite" level.
  • Ability to manage in a dynamic, high-growth environment
  • Experience in winning complex sales (orchestrating deals across different stakeholders (Technology, Engineering/Planning, Procurement, Operations, Business); Strong negotiation skills; Consultative sales experience
  • Experience with standard sales tools, ability to design complex account plans
  • Ability to provide detailed report and status on sales activity as well as executive briefing for key negotiation
  • Design execute BD and sales plan; market review and assessment, intelligence and competition analysis; support product development and customers feedback, support tailored customer value proposition design.
  • Excellent command of English (written and oral)
  • Additional language would be a plus

Travel requirements for this role:

  • Extensive travel is anticipated throughout the region.
