This role involves managing and optimising our transport logistics, both locally and for long-distance operations, while maintaining transparency and ensuring timely communication with senior leadership and relevant business units.

As a International Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating freight offers and inquiries, planning economical routes, preparing shipping documents, and overseeing deadlines and schedules. This is an exciting opportunity to take on significant projects, such as developing an inventory control system, and to play a key role in effective communication across the organisation.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Freight Management: Disposition and processing of freight offers & inquiries to ensure efficient logistics operations.

  • Route Planning: Prepare economic route planning to optimise transport logistics in both local and long-distance traffic.

  • Transport Control: Collaborate with the logistics team to oversee and control the entire transport process.

  • Documentation: Prepare shipping documents and monitor deadlines and dates to ensure timely and accurate logistics.

  • Export Control: Tackling any potential issues & taking ownership.

  • Asset Management: Regularly co-ordinate with Suppliers, Operations and Finance and use systems to track the lifecycle (inbound and internal movements) of company assets.

  • Status Reporting: Regularly report on logistics progress and any critical updates to senior leadership, ensuring transparency in logistics operations and timely issue resolution.

  • Issue Escalation: Work with cross-functional teams to identify and escalate potential delays or issues, ensuring swift action to minimize impact.

  • Liaison with Sales Teams: Maintain open communication with sales teams to keep them informed of the current logistics status, preventing commitments to undeliverable timelines or products.

  • Project Management: Take on unique and engaging projects, such as setting up an inventory control system, to enhance logistics efficiency.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Successfully completed apprenticeship in transport/logistics or a related field.

  • Experience: Previous job experience in logistics desirably in a tech company; however, entry-level candidates with relevant education are welcome to apply.

  • Skills: A strong team player with a collaborative mindset and high motivation, along with a proactive approach to driving initiatives. Proficiency in English, with excellent organisational and time management skills.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively report to senior leadership and engage with various stakeholders.

  • Attributes: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritise tasks effectively, with keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
