Operations support
 

Department:  Furniture Solutions UK
 

Role: To be available and be present on Furniture installations, to plan and organise customer deliveries and to liaise with internal or external build teams along with the onsite teams internal and external teams, be client facing.

Tasks include but not limited to:

  • Undertake site survey when required for accesses and installation route on client sites.
  • Preparation of Logistics and Installation paperwork
  • Attend kick off meetings of the various planned projects.
  • Attend site meetings when project managers or the manager are unable to attend.
  • Follows and supervises the progress of deliveries/installations /after-sales deliveries .
  • Assists the account manager for client sign off onsite or, if necessary, sign off projects with the end client and ensure all paperwork and reporting of information is processed back to the commercial monitor.
  • Manages and supervise operations onsite to resolve snagging onsite and if required attend site to Diagnose technical problems and/or intervene directly with customers in the event of assembly problems.
  • Undertake after sales care with clients for maintenance of furniture.
  • To be able to prepare and undertake furniture audits on client sites including condition reporting.
  • Liaising with installation subcontractors for all projects
  • Working closely with the Commercial Monitor and Account Manager for all projects to ensure an excellent understanding of the projects being delivered.

Experience
Minimum experience of 3 years as Site Manager or Facilities Management and an understanding  of the process for Delivery and installation of furniture.

Technical skills

  • Organizational and operational techniques
  • to be able to understand and read general layout plans and electrical layout plans associated with the furniture layouts.
  • Proven experience in furniture assembly operations
