Job Description

About the Role
As the Localisation Project Manager, you are the driving force behind the successful delivery of Wise’s localised content, ensuring our products and communications resonate effectively with global audiences.This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you will manage diverse localisation projects end-to-end, balancing time, cost, and quality. You will be instrumental in coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners, promoting best practices, and ensuring that Wise’s voice is accurately and culturally adapted across all target markets.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management responsibilities: runs and manages localisation projects for any content types and language set, within a time/cost/quality framework.

  • Stakeholder Management: manages expectations and deadlines, and communicate across cross-functional teams regarding the status of projects, any risk involved, quarterly pipeline any opportunities to refine the workflow in order to optimise timelines or quality or project costs.

  • Localisation best practices: promotes best practices and optimal workflows across stakeholders and project team, and ensures optimal use of workflows/tools/ processes

  • Budget management: helps build quarterly forecast, monitors outsource spend and actual cost vs forecast and is able to predict and explain variance

  • Vendor management: daily management of external resources and regular trending and monitoring of quality standards, timeliness and invoicing with them

  • Collaborate with Localisation Managers to help refine internal operations and results via processes / methogologies / documentation

  • Possible mentoring of more junior Localisation Coordinator(s) to level up their understanding and ability to handle complex projects/SHs/vendors/workflows or processes

Requirements

  • 2+ years of project or program management experience delivering cross‑functional localisation initiatives end‑to‑end (scope, schedule, budget, risk, stakeholders)

  • In-depth knowledge of localisation industry and challenges/opportunities

  • Solid experience of working with CAT/TMS tools & of implementing MT/AI workflows

  • Ability to work in high pressure environment with concurring timelines and priorities and a variety of content types and stakeholders

  • Adapts easily to change and is capable to flex their approach to make the best of project / SH requirements

  • Comfortable working with limited supervision and ambiguity, with the ability to influence others and build trust

  • Deep appreciation of cultural nuances and sensitivities

  • Excellent communication and organisation skills

Indicators of success

  • Displays ownership in managing localisation projects and stakeholders

  • Ensures variance between forecast and actual spend is kept within minimum variance and is capable of justifying delta

  • Continuous improvement and refinement of localisation tools, workflows and processes

  • Ability to monitor and show positive trend of our quality results internally or externally
