We have an exciting opportunity for a Localisation Associate to join our localisation team on a permanent contract, based at our Hatfield head office! (Hybrid Working)
The successful individual will join Ocado’s internal Localisation Team supporting Ocado’s international growth. You will contribute to the localisation efforts using CAT tools while handling daily localisation requests from across the business.
The Localisation Associate will be part of the Localisation Team, supporting not only software and technology teams but spanning across the whole Ocado Group. The Localisation Associate will deal with several aspects of localisation in a tech environment. This ranges from day to day project management of localisation requests coming from various departments to vendor management tasks.


We are looking for someone with a background in languages and localisation, who is aware of the impact well-localised content can have, and is looking to gain experience in multiple aspects of the localisation life-cycle in a tech environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Coordinate the whole cycle of a translation tasks from information retrieval, preparation, distribution, queries, delivery and follow-up. Pre-empt or solve issues as required
  • Coordinate the QA and validation tasks across multiple markets / languages
  • Provide CAT tool assistance and solutions
  • Develop ad-hoc files/solutions according to needs
  • Support the creation and maintenance of reusable assets and glossaries
  • Ensure quick response to inquiries/requests and maintain communication among all stakeholders
  • Become a subject matter expert for the areas you work on
  • Perform vendor management tasks, including recruitment, invoicing, and feedback

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Fluency in Arabic
  • Ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new tasks and skills
  • Ability to work on tasks both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, and to respond dynamically to changing schedules
  • Very good eye for details and a natural inclination towards accuracy
  • Knowledge of a TMS / CAT tool


Desirable

  • Experience in the localisation industry, ideally with a background in translation as a translation project manager and/or vendor manager
  • Knowledge of Cloud based TMS (Phrase)
  • Software Localisation experience
  • QA and Validation experience
  • Spreadsheet and data analysis skills
  • Being used to working in a fast-paced environments
  • Fluent in any additional language
