This Position reports to:

HUB Digital Sales Manager


 

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by driving the digital sales strategy for the Energy Industries business across the UK, Ireland, and Azerbaijan. You will lead growth initiatives, elevate customer success, and strengthen the digital capability of the broader sales organization.

 Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

  • Work model: home-based from the UK {#LI-remote} with both UK and international travel

Regional Sales Operations, Strategy & Growth

  • Jointly with the regional Process Automation Energy Industries sales leadership and sales organization, develop and implement the digital solutions sales growth strategy.

  • Act as the digital solutions sales champion for the Process Automation Energy Industries sales organization.

  • Facilitate collaboration and sales enablement between the regional/global digital teams and the sales organization.

  • Own the digital solutions sales opportunity pipeline, including qualification, forecasting, and governance.

  • Lead customer sales engagements and strategic account teams for digital pursuits.

Account Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for selected top-tier customers, aligned with customer goals, ABB strategy, and broader account objectives.

  • Identify growth opportunities across digitalization, reliability, operational excellence, and performance optimization.

  • Drive multi-year engagement strategies to secure long-term partnerships.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for digital across strategic accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction.

  • Build trusted-advisor relationships with stakeholders across operations, engineering/technology, and executive levels.

  • Facilitate regular business reviews and strategic planning sessions with ABB account teams and customers.

Solution Selling & Value Delivery

  • Collaborate with technical and product teams to tailor digital solutions to customer needs.

  • Lead consultative, value-based engagements focused on ROI and measurable business outcomes.

  • Translate complex technical offerings into clear, compelling business value propositions

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Align go-to-market strategy with solution consultancy, product management, and delivery teams.

  • Coordinate with service and support teams to ensure seamless post-sales execution and customer success.

  • Provide customer feedback to inform product innovation and development

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Track industry trends, competitor activity, and customer developments.

  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM documentation.

  • Report on account performance, risks, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, engineering, technology, or a related field.

  • Several years of experience in digital sales within process automation, energy industries, or related sectors.

  • Proven experience developing and implementing sales growth strategies and managing opportunity pipelines.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic account engagements and multi-year customer pursuits.

  • Knowledge of CRM systems, forecasting, and digital solution selling.

  • Strong consultative selling approach with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.

  • Ability to innovate, take ownership, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Fluent in English; based in the United Kingdom.

  • Willingness to travel within the UK, Ireland, and Azerbaijan—up to 50%.
