Job Description Summary
Castleton Commodities International is hiring a Commercial LNG Scheduler in London, UK office. This is a 24/7 position where the scheduler is responsible for ensuring that vessel operations as well as cargo meet the specifications and requirements of both our contractual and regulatory obligations. The scheduler will interact with Terminal Managers, Inspection Coordinators, Loss Control Representatives, Vessel Agents / Owners, Customers, and Quality Control personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the logistics for product movements worldwide for LNG cargo operations.
  • Support and advise Front Office on operational matters in drafting terms sheets.
  • Assess feasibility of optimisation trades and strategies on risk/return to the portfolio.
  • Evaluate spot LNG trading/chartering opportunities and strip deals by developing optimization tools to generate the economic value and decrease operational risk.
  • Conduct and oversee cargo operations:  including managing pre and post voyage requirements, vessel transit optimization, vetting, quality, appointment of surveyors, and contractual requirements for the cargo.
  • Responsible for confirming the price and volume of all payables and receivables with counterparts and vendors including demurrage.
  • Collaborate with internal & external reporting to maintain full compliance with all applicable regulations and foster / maintain relationships.
  • Develop of network of contacts with peers in the industry.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field of study.
  • 5+ years of experience in LNG cargo operations / LPG specific cargos or similar role within the petroleum or energy sector with excellent knowledge of the LNG business value chain.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical processing, petroleum products, and relevant market dynamics.
  • The ability to be on call 24/7.
  • Prior ETRM systems experience – CXL preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, trading environment.
  • Strong acumen and driven by value creation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
