Liquidity Portfolio Manager

This is a great job for someone who has a real interest to work in investment management and an interest in the macro environment.

A bit about the job:

This role will report to the Head of UK Liquidity Portfolio Management in London.

As a Portfolio Manager, you will be expected to manage Liquidity Funds with the support of the Senior PM. The primary focus of this role will be the EUR and USD Liquidity Funds and bespoke short-term money market funds run on behalf of our clients. In addition, the role will also support the Government, Sterling, and Standard liquidity funds. As part of this you will need to create strong and lasting relationships with other portfolio managers, credit analysts, the Investment Solutions team, external brokers and banks, the dealing desk, sales team, and our support functions at Aviva Investors. You will need to be visible to the rest of Credit and participate in team meetings with a focus on challenge and collaboration. You will be required to contribute to investment ideas, participate in healthy debate, and be aware of, and the importance of managing risk in an investment management company.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • IMC/CFA qualifications

  • Great attention to detail and the ability to work within a pressured environment.

  • Outstanding team player, who will collaborate effectively across the team and the wider AI organisation.

  • Portfolio management experience.

  • A customer-focused perspective, understanding that all investment decisions should be made with the client in mind.

What you’ll get for this role:

  • Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in

  • Eligibility for annual performance bonus

  • Family friendly parental and carer’s leave

  • Generous holiday entitlement plus bank holidays with the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days

  • Up to 40% discount for Aviva products

  • Brilliant flexible benefits including electric cars

  • Aviva Matching Share Plan and Save As You Earn scheme

  • 21 volunteering hours per year

In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.

Aviva is for everyone:

We’re inclusive and welcome everyone – we want applications from all backgrounds and experiences. Excited but not sure you tick every box? Even if you don’t, we would still encourage you to apply. We also consider all forms of flexible working, including part time and job shares.

We flex locations, hours and working patterns to suit our customers, business, and you. Most of our people are smart working –spending around 50% of their time in our offices every week - combining the benefits of flexibility, with time together with colleagues.
