Job Title: Lifestyle Manager

Location: Richmond Village Northampton, Bridge Meadow Way, NN4 5EB

Salary: £31,000 per annum & Excellent Benefits

Contract: Permanent

Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week

We make health happen.

At Bupa, we support people when they need it most. Through our Richmond Villages, we provide exceptional retirement living where independence, dignity, and wellbeing are at the core of everything we do.

We’re now looking for a passionate and proactive Lifestyle Manager to join our team at Northampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents—helping them live life to the fullest through meaningful, engaging, and person-centred activities.

As Lifestyle Manager, you will be:

    • Leading and inspiring the activities team, including appraisals and day-to-day support.

    • Designing and delivering a varied programme of social, recreational, and wellbeing activities tailored to residents’ interests and needs.

    • Building strong links with local organisations, volunteers, and community groups to enhance resident engagement.

    • Collaborating with care teams to align activities with individual care plans.

    • Managing the activities budget and sourcing resources creatively and cost-effectively.

    • Producing weekly programmes and monthly newsletters to promote participation.

    • Maintaining accurate records, risk assessments, and health & safety standards.

    • Promoting activities through the Richmond website and social media channels.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

You have a full, clean driving licence, GSCE or equivalent in English and Maths and an NVQ in Health and Social Care with activity units. Previous experience of managing a team is essential and current involvement in community groups would be advantageous. With a positive attitude, you have the ability to motivate residents using your energy and great sense of humour. A creative approach to ideas and an ability to communicate with residents using a person-centred approach. Empathetic and friendly, you’ll have no problem building long lasting professional relationships with colleagues, residents, their families and members of the local community.

Because we care for vulnerable people, we’ll need you to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Bupa will cover the cost of this (£40).

    Benefits

Our benefits are designed to make health happen for our people. Viva is our global wellbeing programme and includes all aspects of our health – from mental and physical, to financial, social and environmental wellbeing. We support flexible working and have a range of family friendly benefits.

    • Free meal with every shift

    • Holidays - 20 days + Bank Holidays
