  • You’ll be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders across the leveraged credit market, ensuring your market intelligence remains current to inform key risk decisions and provide advice for our issuer and sponsor clients
  • The work you do will ensure best execution for clients regarding the primary distribution process

What you'll do

As a Leveraged Credit Syndicate Vice President, you’ll be responsible for primary underwriting and pricing. This will involve providing pricing and structural guidance to originators and sales teams, and supporting their origination efforts.

You’ll build a strong network within the credit vertical to support our public side colleagues in leveraged credit sales and trading. You’ll also support the team with the preparation of underwriting memos, analysing key structural and pricing terms, and supporting on capital approvals.

In addition to this, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Preparing market updates and trade recommendations for leveraged credit issuers
  • Collaborating with the team and wider business to improve our efficiency and effectiveness, and identifying innovative market opportunities
  • End-to-end deal execution, including roadshows, deal terms, and execution
  • Risk managing any unsold positions, working in close partnership with Trading & Flow Sales
  • Identifying new product and business opportunities and working with local and global product and client heads to deliver them

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with a broad understanding of capital markets across bonds and loans, with a proven ability to price new transactions across these products. You’ll be highly motivated and hold at least a bachelor’s degree.

You’ll also demonstrate:

  • Strong credit analysis skills including the ability to make an informed credit view on a company
  • The ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple competing priorities at once
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
