HubSpot is looking for a Legal Specialist to provide a key support role in HubSpot's Legal & Compliance department. In this role, you will work with both the Go-To-Market (GTM) group within the Legal & Compliance team and cross-functional business teams.

HubSpot's GTM Legal group provides legal support for HubSpot’s Marketing team and Partner/Channel ecosystems, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks in our go-to-market activities.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Provide first-line support to our Marketing, Partnerships, and Go-to-Market business teams. This includes helping with program initiatives and product launches, reviewing and maintaining marketing campaigns and updating partnership program materials
  • Draft, negotiate, revise, and manage a wide range of marketing, partnership and technology contracts from initial draft through execution and renewal
  • Help manage and optimize the contract lifecycle
  • Develop and implement playbooks and guidelines to improve legal processes and help maintain business compliance and continuity
  • Assist with initiatives to protect and enforce all forms of intellectual property at HubSpot, with an emphasis on trademarks, copyrights, and domain names
  • Assist with law enforcement investigations and responses
  • Support M&A activity, including due diligence and integration

We are looking for people who:

  • Have a law degree or equivalent qualification
  • Have at least 2 years of relevant experience within a Commercial or Corporate Legal role. In-house experience working in a high-growth technology company is a plus
  • Have experience with review of business contracts and feel comfortable running a negotiation process, with management support as needed
  • Have project management and superior organizational skills, and are able to handle a broad range of matters and work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced and transparent environment
  • Are able to make and own decisions and explain the rationale for the decision to a curious and empowered business team
  • Develop strong relationships based on trust with team members and the business
  • Effectively handle high-volume and prioritization of tasks

We know the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates, so please don’t hesitate to apply — we’d love to hear from you.

If you need accommodations or assistance due to a disability, please reach out to us using this form. This information will be treated as confidential and used only for the purpose of determining an appropriate accommodation for the interview process.

At HubSpot, we value both flexibility and connection. Whether you’re a Remote employee, or work from the Office, we want you to start your journey here by building strong connections with your team and peers.

If you are joining our Engineering team in a full-time role, you will be required to attend a regional HubSpot office for in-person onboarding. If you join our broader Product team, you’ll also attend other in-person events such as HubSpot’s annual PEER week, your Product Group Summit, and other in-person gatherings to continue building on those connections.

If you require an accommodation due to travel limitations or other reasons, please inform your recruiter during the hiring process. We are committed to supporting candidates who may need alternative arrangements.
