As a Vice President within the Legal Entity Controller team, you will lead a team responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial and regulatory reporting for the Korea Securities Branch. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial statements, overseeing compliance with relevant policies, and supporting new business initiatives. The Legal Entity Controller team is responsible for financial and regulatory reporting, governance, and control of the Korea Securities Branch, including analysis and reporting of financial and management results to key internal and external stakeholders.

As a Vice President within the Legal Entity Controller team, you will lead a team responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial and regulatory reporting for the Korea Securities Branch. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial statements, overseeing compliance with relevant policies, and supporting new business initiatives. The Legal Entity Controller team is responsible for financial and regulatory reporting, governance, and control of the Korea Securities Branch, including analysis and reporting of financial and management results to key internal and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of 3 responsible for financial and regulatory reporting requirements for the Korea Securities Branch.
- Review and ensure the accuracy of financials for head office submissions.
- Produce and review local annual audited financial statements.
- Partner with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Prepare, review, and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory returns, and respond to regulator queries as needed.
- Oversee capital and dividend planning for the branch.
- Ensure controls are operating effectively and in compliance with relevant policies.
- Focus on continuous improvement of processes and controls.
- Oversee and guide support staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Provide ad-hoc assistance to the broader LEC team and Senior Financial Officer as necessary.
- Support new business initiatives and projects, partnering with business managers and other teams.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Strong understanding of the financial services industry, with at least 8 years of experience in financial institutions covering financial statement production/oversight and regulatory reporting.
- Experience leading a team.
- Experience dealing with external audit.
- Thorough understanding of financial and regulatory reporting controls.
- Good analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
