WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON

  • Contracts & Commercial: Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts (service, white-label, licensing, partnership, customer agreements). Support commercial teams with contract structuring and risk assessment.
  • Fintech & Regulatory: Ensure regulatory compliance for fintech products and services; identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks; conduct legal research and provide advisory support on fintech regulation and market trends (EU / UK).
  • Cyprus Law Advisory: Advise on Cyprus law, including corporate, labor & employment, and commercial matters, Advise on and support the application of the Cyprus IP Box regime, Maintain legal documentation, records, and internal legal processes.
  • Data Protection & Privacy: Monitor and ensure compliance with GDPR, Cyprus Law 125(I)/2018, and relevant EU guidance (including EDPB guidelines), Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies, procedures, and internal controls, Advise the company on GDPR obligations, including privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default principles, Ensure lawful bases for personal data processing are properly identified, documented, and maintained, Support internal stakeholders on data protection matters related to products, partnerships, and operations.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
  • 2+ years of experience as a lawyer, preferably in a fintech or IT company.
  • Strong knowledge of Cyprus law, including contract & commercial law, labor and employment law.
  • Practical experience with the Cyprus IP Box regime.
  • Strong practical knowledge of GDPR and Cyprus data protection legislation.
  • Experience interacting with EU supervisory authorities (preferably the Cyprus Data Protection Authority).
  • Familiarity with international fintech and financial services regulations (EU, UK).
  • Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative mindset.
  • Fluent in English; russian /Greek is a strong plus.
