We are currently looking for a highly motivated lawyer to join our rapidly growing in-house Legal Team. The role will be primarily supporting the Apex Group in respect of its depositary business, in particular Apex Depositary (UK) Limited and EDB, London Branch in respect of their growth plans and more broadly the depositary business of the Apex Group on a pan-European basis. The role will also involve supporting different Apex

Group business lines on an ad hoc basis. We offer a dynamic collegiate atmosphere and opportunities to grow and develop professionally within our thriving business. This role will report to the European Head of Legal.

Principal Responsibilities:

· Providing legal advice to internal stakeholders across the Apex Group in respect of the development of the infrastructure and product offering of its depositary business;

· Drafting and negotiation of client facing and intermediary documentation;

· Providing ad hoc support as required locally by entities within the Apex Group;

· Co-ordinating from a legal perspective product development and launch across the depositary business;

· Provide horizon scanning support and advice to the depositary business in respect of regulatory developments; and

· Instructing external counsel as required and managing legal spend and budget.

The Skills:

· A common law qualified lawyer;

· At least 3 years of post-qualification experience within the financial services industry (in-house or private practice);

· Be comfortable/competent in dealing with regulatory and legal matters in so far as they apply to the financial services industry;

· Be highly motivated and a self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised supporting a fast-paced dynamic business; and

· Possess team spirit and enthusiasm with the capacity to build strong internal and client relationships.
