About The Role
To ensure the protection of Boldyn Network UK&E’s commercial relationships with customers, suppliers and business partners; responsible for giving practical and focused advice on a wide variety of commercial legal matters, supporting Boldyn Network’s growing business and helping us to build for scale.
What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing advice on a wide range of legal matters affecting the operations of Boldyn Network including in relation to telecommunications, public procurement, property, employment, data protection, disputes, and other general corporate and commercial law matters
  • Working closely with the General Counsel and outside counsel to coordinate a wide range of commercial contract negotiations including advice, negotiation, review and drafting of:
    • large, complex, and high value contracts with government and telecommunications companies
    • contracts for construction works, equipment supply and installation, maintenance and support, and professional services.
    • leases and licences connected with the implementation and operation of telecommunications networks and Boldyn Network’s office operations.
  • Supporting the business development team in pursuing new opportunities to grow Boldyn Network’s business
  • Assisting the General Counsel in relation to corporate governance and compliance activities for Boldyn Network, and periodically in larger corporate matters
  • Working closely with Boldyn Network colleagues in business development, operations, finance, people, marketing and HSE, as well as legal team colleagues in other regions
  • Providing general ad-hoc commercial legal support across the breadth of the business, including assisting with NDAs and undertaking legal research
  • Supporting the General Counsel in the provision of regular training and legal updates to the wider business
  • Streamlining existing processes, documentation, and precedents, and creating self-service tools for the business to enable the legal team to scale as the business grows
     

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven exposure to commercial and corporate work in a private practice or in-house
  • Proven exposure to telecommunications and property experience
  • Some experience in company secretarial duties and corporate governance      
  • Strong attention to detail and effectiveness managing complex projects and teams to demanding deadlines
  • Proven experience in contract drafting and negotiation including large scale construction procurement for government or semi-government instrumentalities in private practice or in-house
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply legal requirements to business operations
  • 5+ years PQE gained either in-house or in private practice
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Law
