The Role:

Nothing is looking for a passionate Legal Counsel to take responsibility for the UK, EU & USA. You will help define and develop our legal operations, issues and strategy, working closely and reporting into the General Counsel in our HQ here in London. You will operate with autonomy and work with our international team and be willing to take on new areas and projects in a fast paced environment. Previous experience in working with Hardware and Software for Consumer companies is highly advantageous. You also demonstrate a strong commercial acumen, as well as high attention to detail and are able to contribute to a growing and talented finance and legal team.

Responsibilities:

  • Legal advice and research on laws and regulations
  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of global manufacture, procurement, sales, and other business-related contracts
  • Drafting of guidelines, policies and templates
  • Review of marketing materials and marketing campaigns
  • Coordination of disputes and claims, including managing external counsel
  • Support in promoting the Compliance Program
  • Support and advice to other internal  departments
  • Liaise with the other regional legal team
  • Assist in the further development of the Legal & Compliance Department

Requirements:

  • Qualified to practise law in UK or Hong Kong
  • Demonstrable experience practising law relating to general corporate with a reputable law firm in UK, Hong Kong or US, or with reputable smartphone and/or consumer electronics companies
  • Experience on smartphone and/or consumer electronics is preferred
  • Report to the General Counsel, working on site in the London HQ 5 days per week
