Legal Counsel (IP and Commercial)

We are looking for in-house Legal Counsel to join our growing team and build the legal function that will support our next stage of growth. Though you will take ownership of all legal matters across the company, the main focus of this role will be commercial and IP law; you will work closely with our external counsel on other matters. 

You will work closely with our commercial, science and fundraising teams to ensure we operate with clarity, confidence, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will also play a key role in empowering our teams to navigate and negotiate legal matters independently as we scale globally. 

We are growing rapidly, this is an exciting opportunity to join us on our journey, working across a number of cutting-edge industries and to grow with the company as we scale. 

You will likely have:

• Worked with or in scaling business or team, particularly deep-tech or manufacturing industries

• Experience working across a number of geographies outside of the UK - particularly the US and APAC

• Exposure to a broad range of legal areas including commercial, IP, and corporate

• Trained and worked in a large reputable law firm

• Direct experience supporting commercial and scientific teams with practical, solution-oriented legal advice
