We’re looking for a self-motivated and collaborative employment lawyer to join our EMEA Legal team. This role focuses on employment matters across Activision Blizzard and King’s operations outside of North America, supporting a wide range of international legal work.

This is a high-impact role with a dynamic and evolving workload, shaped by the needs of the business and the markets in which we operate. You’ll be a trusted partner to the broader HR team and business leaders, playing a key role in enabling thoughtful, people-centric decisions.

Your core focus will be delivering pragmatic, timely, and solution-oriented legal advice across a wide range of employment matters, including hiring, benefits, employment contracts, contingent workforce arrangements, employee relations, investigations, performance management, disciplinary actions, and leaves of absence.

Through your advice and guidance, you’ll demonstrate a strong understanding of the company’s culture and values, while recognizing the important role of employee engagement in supporting sustainable business success.

This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in a collaborative, global environment where your counsel will directly influence how we grow and support our people and our business.

In addition to the core focus areas above, you will:

  • Provide business-oriented and people-focused legal advice and support to HR, Compensation and Benefits, Talent Development, and Talent Acquisition teams on a wide range of employment, compliance, and regulatory matters

  • Contribute to initiatives as part of the global Compliance and Ethics team, and partner with colleagues on global projects

  • Develop, improve, and implement policies, plans, and practices

  • Drive and support designated projects and workplace initiatives

  • Develop and deliver training programs

  • Manage employment litigation matters and advise on employee investigations

  • Support people-focused global initiatives

  • Develop action plans to address corporate compliance obligations and partner with relevant areas of the business to support effective implementation

Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong academic record, with an honours degree (or equivalent), and qualification in law or a practicing certificate from any country in the EU

  • Demonstrated legal expertise typically gained through several years of post-qualification experience, ideally within a multinational organization or a leading international law firm (in-house experience is an advantage)

  • Strong background in employment law, investigations, and employee relations in one or more EU jurisdictions

  • Experience advising across multiple jurisdictions

  • Experience in legal project management or operations, or a lead role in managing multi-jurisdictional projects, is an advantage

  • Ability to identify and balance legal and business interests effectively

Personal Attributes

  • Strong initiative, analytical skills, and sound legal, ethical, and business judgment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (additional European language skills are an advantage)

  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise effectively, and work well in a changing environment, bringing a constructive and solutions-focused approach

  • Interest in adopting new technologies, particularly AI-enabled tools

  • Demonstrates collaboration, initiative, commercial awareness, and creative problem-solving

  • Ability to travel internationally when required for the role
