About the Role

BlackRock is seeking a lawyer to join its Legal Insights team, a specialist private markets legal intelligence function focused on fund terms, governance, fees, benchmarking, legal data and market insights.

This is a unique opportunity to apply private funds legal expertise beyond traditional legal practice, working at the intersection of law, data, product innovation and commercial strategy.

What You'll Do
  • Analyse LPAs, side letters, management agreements and other private markets documentation.
  • Assess fee structures, carried interest, investor rights and governance provisions.
  • Convert complex legal drafting into proprietary legal intelligence and benchmarking data.
  • Support FAIR fee validation and Term Intelligence benchmarking.
  • Contribute to legal data, AI-enabled extraction and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Create insights that support client outcomes, product development and commercial growth.
What We're Looking For
  • Qualified lawyer with private funds, investment funds or asset management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of private equity, private credit, infrastructure, real estate or hedge funds.
  • Experience analysing complex fund documentation and applying legal judgement.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Our hybrid work model
