Overview:

The role of the Learning Resource Manager is to manage the development of content via external contractors and vendors, acting as a largely autonomous production pipeline leader, with an emphasis on speed to release, cost of build, and maintained quality. The Learning Resource Manager works with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders, establishing strong relationships with external content creators and coordinating with internal teams to align with wider content needs. The role will bring programme management and operational expertise to the Learning Strategy and Production Team, owning key contractor processes and evolving these to continuously improve standards for contractor engagement and create efficiency gains.


What you’ll do:

The Learning Resource Manager:

  • Establishes strategic, long term, relationships with external vendors and contractors that can produce quality content at speed.

  • Owns the entire lifecycle of external contractor sourcing and management, from identifying needs to onboarding, performance tracking, and off-boarding.

  • Identifies and implements improvements to the contractor management process and standards to enable greater efficiency and quality, including through the use of AI tools.

  • Serves as the primary liaison with the internal Content Development Team, deeply understanding their requirements for external support and the wider project goals, and ensuring successful integration of contractor outputs.

  • Manages the budget specifically allocated to external contractors and content creation, tracking expenditure, forecasting needs, and ensuring cost-effectiveness.


What you’ll bring:

  • Strong vendor and contractor management experience (essential).

  • A high level of expertise in engaging with external contractors—including coordinating with Legal, People, and Finance teams to develop contractor hiring, onboarding and offboarding processes.

  • Exceptional project management skills, adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously including resource allocation and risk mitigation strategies

  • Proven track record of successfully managing high-volume content production pipelines

  • Strong leadership abilities, capable of guiding and motivating cross-functional teams

  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.

  • Solid understanding of content development workflows and requirements.

  • Experience in budget management and financial tracking.

  • Attention to detail for contract terms and performance metrics.

  • Ability to identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements for increased productivity

  • Familiarity with AI tools for sourcing, contract analysis, and budget forecasting.
