Learning Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Learning Manager to lead and support our Learning and Development team, ensuring top-tier service delivery across the Learning and Development function.

About the Role

This role will make a significant contribution to the Learning and Development team’s six key workstreams, including team management and leading strategic learning projects which will have a key impact on colleague engagement, capability, retention and on our overall learning culture. The Learning Manager role is varied, with room to really take ownership and add your own stamp to some exciting strategic projects.

This role is hybrid, and you will spend 60%-80% in our Hammersmith office.

Key responsibilities will also include:

  • Manage the overall operations behind The Harrods Welcome and The Retail Welcome, including team management, stakeholder engagement, continuous improvement of programs and deliverables, and act as an escalation point.
  • Work with the business to identify learning needs and identify appropriate solutions to develop the required skills, knowledge and behaviour for the intended audience.
  • Performance Management - Supporting the Senior Learning Manager to deliver Harrods people performance annual cycle, including preparing the launch of online processes (e.g. annual reviews, goal setting) via Workday
  • Collaboration with the wider Learning & Development team by actively sharing ideas, best practices, and insights; and championing L&D-led initiatives.
  • Regularly engage stakeholders throughout change journeys and/or to drive engagement and success of L&D initiatives for their function.

About You

You will possess extensive experience in Learning and Development, complemented by a strong background in team leadership and the implementation of high-quality adult learning initiatives. Your expertise in people management and Learning and Development will enable you to address complex inquiries and facilitate operational improvements within the L&D function. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, skilfully managing multiple priorities while fostering robust relationships with stakeholders across the organization.

You will also have:

  • Experience in digital platform functionality, capability and approach (our LMS is Workday).
  • Experience of facilitating learning and training as well as leading strategic discussions
  • Are a self-starter, with the ability to handle continuous change, ambiguity and work at pace.
  • Are a creative thinker, who is able to think outside the box to create unique experiences
  • With an emphasis on continuous improvement, you will contribute innovative ideas to enhance the L&D function, all while maintaining a positive attitude.
