Job Description

Salary: Up to £45,000 depending upon experience
Location: New Mills, Wotton-under-Edge, GL12 8JR (Global HQ)
Hybrid working: 3 days per week onsite, 2 days from home (4.5 day working week, half day Fridays)
 

This is an exciting time to join the Learning and Development team at Renishaw as we create and develop new learning offerings for our managers and employees across the organisation.
To help us on this journey we are looking for a Learning and Development Specialist to join our team at our Global HQ. Working in the Learning and Development function that sits under the HR department, you’ll be delivering, as part of a broader team, consistent high-quality learning and development interventions around soft skills and personal development. You’ll also get involved in the provision of current and future facilitation of leadership and management development solutions, which will involve providing guidance, advice, and application on and for a range of learning interventions.
 

Responsibilities

  • You’ll be delivering dynamic and effective training and development modules across the business. Collaborating with various stakeholders to develop high-performing leaders and managers, ensuring alignment with Renishaw’s strategic vision and values

  • Acting as a mentor and positive role model during the delivery of learning interventions, ensuring your audiences remain engaged and inspired

  • Collaborating with the L&D Manager and wider team to identify and prioritise areas of focus and new initiatives

  • Using a variety of methods and materials to create impactful learning experiences, supporting the facilitation of personal development interventions (e.g. communication skills, personal branding, time management, dealing with difficult conversations)

  • Working with relevant stakeholders to ensure all the necessary administrative requirements are in place and supported across the Learning Management System and supporting processes, to ensure efficiency, accuracy and best practice

  • Managing your time effectively, using non-training days to develop/create new materials, exercises and activities and improve existing courseware and deliverables

  • Staying abreast of your own personal learning and development practises to ensure professional skills, knowledge and experience remains current and relevant
     

Requirements

  • Previous experience of delivering leadership and management programmes within an operational organisation

  • Ability to present to groups of people and adapt training interventions for diverse audiences where appropriate, confidently communicating and engaging with employees at all levels

  • Experience in designing and delivering engaging training content both in-person and remotely

  • Able to apply various training methodologies and tools, to ensure training and development delivery remains focused

  • Deliver interactive training interventions on a range of platforms, such as Microsoft Teams and Workday etc.

As a Learning & Development Specialist you'll have existing experience in delivering a wide variety of learning and development, interventions and programmes that bring about a positive and practical outcomes across an organisation. You'll be emotionally intelligent, with people skills and the ability to nurture relationships. You'll have a delivery focused attitude with the ability to drive tasks forward to meet deadlines, being part of a team with a willingness to understand alternative perspectives. Your ability to inspire and challenge within teams will allow you to balance priorities and work effectively in a variety of corporate cultures. And finally, you'll be comfortable working effectively with a variety of different stakeholders, with the ability to build informative and trusted relationships quickly and confidently in either remote, virtual or classroom environments.
