We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Learning and Development Specialist who can help realise the potential of our people.  

You will take responsibility for creating and implementing learning solutions for Sales & Marketing teams across our global, matrixed packaging organisation and will: 

  • Craft learning solutions for Sales and Marketing that follow 70-20-10 methodology to ensure L&D continues to contribute to improved performance of the teams and build skill levels in this function. 

  • Design and deploy a variety of training styles such as blended, virtual and classroom.  

  • When new/refreshed  competency frameworks or other learning initiatives by the SMI Talent Team are being created, you will take an active role in enabling their success.  

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and third-party trainers to produce and manage learning content and communications for core learning initiatives. 

  • Apply your knowledge and expertise to design and author in-house e Learning modules, uploading them to a learning experience platform ready for assigning 

The successful candidate will have the ability to build rapport across all levels of the business and contribute to and benefit from the DS Smith Talent network 

About you    

  • Qualified to Degree level, or equivalent experience in L&D 

  • Experienced in e-module authoring tools (Articulate 360), designing e-modules & hosting platforms

  • Experienced in designing and deploying a variety of training styles – blended, digital, virtual and classroom, in a global matrix environment

  • Competent in 70-20-10 methodology 

  • Project management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload versus deadlines 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident in both written and spoken communications

  • Excellent command of English, any other European languages are a plus

  • Flexible, reliable and tenacious.
