The Lean Management Specialist will enhance organizational performance by analyzing and improving processes in coolers and warehouses, driving efficiency, reducing waste and implementing performance management. Responsibilities include developing technical solutions, defining SOPs, training teams, and collaborating with various teams and external partners to foster a culture of Lean Management within the Supply Chain team.
About the Opportunity
As a Lean Distribution Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing organizational performance by analyzing, maintaining, and improving processes. Your focus will be on driving efficiency, reducing waste, and implementing performance management culture within our own coolers and 3PL warehouses
Responsibilities
- Development of technical solutions or new processes to improve the performance of the current lines or update existing ones to incorporate customer requirements.
- Define or update SOPs (standard operating procedures) to secure freshness of our fruit.
- Monitor on cool performance on warehouses and coolers. Propose and lead the implementation of solutions to improve performance such as Intelli Temp monitoring, sliding doors upgrade, etc.
- Provide subject matter guidance to cooler operational Teams.
- Analyze existing warehouse processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Streamline workflows to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
- Drive collaboration with Operations team to improve performance.
- Design an efficient warehouse layout to optimize product flow and storage.
- Implement quality controls to prevent defects (in packaging and fruit) and monitor temperature consistency.
- Define maintenance programs, both autonomous and preventive.
- Train the teams on new processes implemented and monitor the adherence.
- Audit adherence to SOPs.
- Create and implement a visual management plan.
- Partner with Aurora team for the design of new warehouse and manufacturing processes.
- Partner with external organizations and suppliers to stay up-to-date in process optimization and visual management tools.
- Contribute to build a culture of Lean Management within the Supply Chain team.
Candidate Profile

- Proven experience in leading continuous improvement activities in a fresh produce or FMCG environment
- Experience in project management
- A good understanding of Lean CI tools and principles such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Root Cause Analysis & 7 Wastes
- Excellent communication skills across all levels with the ability to engage and influence
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Lean certification is highly desirable
