What you'll do…
The Leadership, Talent & Performance Partner will play a pivotal role in developing leadership skills and driving our high performance culture at Howden, with a key focus on the design, implementation, and evaluation of leadership development, talent identification & succession planning, and performance management initiatives.
The role will report to the Global Leadership, Talent & Performance Lead and form part of the Group Leadership, Learning, Culture & Inclusion HR Centre of Expertise.
Strategy Development and Execution:
- Collaborate with the Global Leadership, Talent & Performance Lead to build, refine, and execute our global leadership, talent & performance strategy, ensuring alignment with our People First culture and 30:30 vision.
- Identify key trends, benchmarks, and best practices in leadership development, talent identification & succession planning, and performance management globally to inform innovative programs and propositions.
- Establish short- and long-term goals, metrics, and KPIs to measure the success of delivered initiatives globally.
Program Design, Development, and Delivery:
- Design and manage the delivery of initiatives, partnering with regional and divisional stakeholders to tailor initiatives to meet the cultural and regulatory requirements of our markets and geographies.
- Design and deliver leadership development programs, including workshops, coaching sessions, mentoring programs, and rotational assignments to help grow our leadership capabilities.
Partnerships and Collaboration:
- Act as a trusted advisor to our HR and business teams, providing guidance on all leadership, talent, and performance management related topics and opportunities.
- As and when required, collaborate with HR and business teams to deliver impactful leadership development, talent, and/or performance management related interventions.
- Partner with our Learning & Development team to create digital, hybrid, and/or face to face interventions that have an impact
- Build strong relationships with external organisations, industry associations, and community organisations, to help inform and enhance our approach to developing great leaders.
Data and Reporting:
- Analyse data to assess the effectiveness of programs delivered and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting progress, challenges, and recommendations for advancing ongoing initiatives.
Culture and Engagement:
- Actively engage employees at all levels of the organisation to drive awareness and participation in leadership, talent, and performance management related activities.
- Serve as a change agent, challenging norms and encouraging the adoption scaling of our People First approach to leading and developing our people.
The kind of skills we'll need…
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 5+ years of experience in at least two of the three areas of designing and delivering leadership development programmes, talent identification and succession planning initiatives, and performance management, with a focus on global or multicultural environments.
- A strong understanding of leadership development best practice principles and methodologies.
- A strong conceptual approach to identifying problem statements, ideating solutions, and delivery for impact.
- Experience in applying Design Thinking to develop solutions.
- Experience in project management and leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Understanding of the difference of deliverable KPIs and impact KPIs.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A professional qualification of an HR body like CIPD, SHRM etc.
