Play a lead role in the integration & pragmatic application of visual design in a multidisciplinary team of designers, product owners and engineers. Champions human centred design, drives the highest standards of visual design and help change mind-sets about problem solving. Helps others grow and succeed through coaching and by sharing knowledge, being a leader in the Experience design community.

About this opportunity
You’ll be part of a cross-functional project team and responsible for all visual design elements, from design thinking right the way through to deployment. Whether it’s contributing to workshops, advising on best practice or responding to research, you should be a design advocate and understand how to apply design principles to make accessible customer experiences.
Add beauty, clarity and creative consideration to LBG products, elevating the customer experience from functional to desirable and delightful. It goes beyond usability by addressing both form and function. Visual design is the first impression consumers will have of our product—it is actually arguably the most important impression it'll make. Users will decide whether to trust the credibility of a website/app based more upon its visual cues than its actual content. Additionally, it is one of the strongest ties a designer can use for effectual branding.
What you'll be doing

Inject empathy and creativity into the teams focused on the most strategically important work in the lab within a multidisciplinary team of designers, product owners and engineers, ensuring customer focus through everything they do.

You’ll develop deep empathy for people, understanding their needs, aspirations and challenges.

Recruit and mentor designers early in their career and help facilitate growth within visual designer community.

Support the visual design community of practice lead

Share knowledge and improve design methods as an active member of the visual design and experience design community.
What you'll need
-
Proven and demonstrable background at a senior level experience in visual design for large scale projects.

Advanced skills in: competitor analysis, concepting, work shopping, visual design across multiple platforms (iOS and Android) and mobile and web, prototyping, sketching skills

Experience of working within and contributing to a enterprise design system.

Experience of supporting wider team activities user research.

Deep proficiency with industry standard design & business tools such as; Adobe CC, Figma

The ability to manage key stakeholders in the business who come from digital and non-digital backgrounds.
