SUMMARY:
As a Lead / Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of our web applications. This role requires a deep understanding of our tech stack and the ability to create effective solutions that align with business requirements. You will play a crucial role in advancing our technology stack and mentoring junior team members.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:
You will join our engineering team and be a valued member working closely in a collaborative, autonomous, cross-functional team. You will help with the following:
- Leading the development of robust web applications using TypeScript, React, Next.js, and SQL (ideally PostgreSQL).
- Designing and implementing scalable and efficient API routes and backend services.
- Writing and maintaining comprehensive unit and integration tests with Cypress and Postman.
- Utilizing advanced AWS services, including Lambda functions and Step Functions.
- Working with message brokers and event-driven architectures using EventBridge and SQS.
- Managing and optimising databases, with a focus on Neo4j graph databases.
- Implementing and maintaining infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Containerising applications using Docker and orchestrating deployments.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new features.
- Mentoring junior developers and promoting best practices within the team.
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders to understand and meet their requirements.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Minimum of 6 years in web development with a strong track record in senior roles.
- Expertise in TypeScript, React, Next.js, and SQL databases.
- Proficient in building and integrating complex API routes.
- Deep understanding of AWS services, including Lambda functions, Step Functions, EventBridge, and SQS.
- Strong experience with Neo4j
- Proficiency with containerization tools like Docker.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools, specifically Terraform.
- Advanced skills in writing and maintaining unit and integration tests using Cypress and Postman.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile development environments.
AWESOME BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Experience with other message brokers or event-driven systems.
- Additional expertise in other AWS services.
- Familiarity with other infrastructure as code tools.
