The Lead QA Engineer will manage a team to develop and maintain automated test suites for cloud native applications, ensuring product quality through various testing methods including SAST, DAST, integration, regression, and performance testing. The role involves collaboration with product managers and DevOps teams, as well as generating documentation and reports on testing outcomes.

Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Lead QA Engineer with a strong background in all types of testing for distribution systems. In this role, you will lead a team in plan, development and on-going maintenance of automated test suites. You’ll work hands-on with modern technologies and frameworks to create test suites for cloud native applications. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will contribute directly to test planning and automation development to ensure delivery of high quality products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers to build and maintain automated test suites.
- Project Management: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure test suites are developed that guarantee a high level of product quality.
- Test Suite Development: Develop a comprehensive suite of automated tests, including Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), integration testing, and regression testing.
- Automation Framework: Implement and maintain an automation framework that supports the execution of automated tests within build and deployment pipelines.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality, security, and functionality of software components by designing and executing automated test cases.
- Integration Testing: Perform integration testing to validate the interactions between various software components and ensure system reliability.
- Regression Testing: Develop and execute regression test suites to detect and prevent software regressions.
- Security Testing: Incorporate security testing practices, including SAST and DAST, to identify vulnerabilities and security flaws.
- Automation Pipeline Integration: Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests seamlessly within the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Reporting: Generate and maintain test reports and documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.
- Issue Tracking: Identify and document software defects and issues, working closely with development teams to resolve them.
- Performance Testing: Collaborate with performance testing teams to incorporate performance testing into the automated test suite.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications in software testing or quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB, Certified Software Tester, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of security testing tools and practices Previous experience in developing comprehensive automated test suites
