About the Lead Product Manager role

We are looking for a Lead Product Manager with deep technical expertise in card network transaction processing to lead and manage our Core Services Product Team. We are looking for someone that has a strong background in running transaction certification projects, preferably while working for a card network or payment processor. This Lead Product Manager role requires an individual with a keen understanding of transaction flows, network integration, and compliance standards in the payments industry.

You will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and compliance teams to drive the development, certification, and optimization of our Core Product Platform. 


What you will be doing as a Lead Product Manager

  • Owning the end-to-end prioritisation and delivery of all core product service initiatives.
  • Utilising deep technical expertise in card network transaction processing (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc.) to manage certification projects and network service integrations.
  • Leading network certification projects with various card networks, ensuring all transaction flows, clearing, settlement, and dispute processes meet network standards.
  • Leading new market entry projects for global payment processing platforms.
  • Working closely with internal teams, including engineering, operations, compliance, and external card networks, to define requirements, prioritize features, and ensure seamless integration and certification.
  • Defining and maintaining a detailed product roadmap for all core services, prioritizing features based on business impact, customer feedback, and technical feasibility.
  • Ensuring all payment solutions comply with card network rules, industry regulations (PCI DSS, 3D Secure, EMV, etc.), and internal risk management policies.
  • Developing detailed product requirements, technical specifications, and user stories for the engineering teams, ensuring clarity in functional and technical requirements.
  • Tracking product performance, identify pain points, and work with technical teams to continuously improve system reliability and efficiency.
  • Engaging with customers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure the product delivers superior value to them.
  • Providing guidance and support to teams responsible for customer onboarding, technical integrations, and ongoing support. 

What you will bring to the Lead Product Manager role

  • Experience working in a Senior or Lead Product role
  • Prior experience working for a card network (Visa, Mastercard or AMEX) or a payment processor
  • Extensive experience in card network transaction processing, including experience with transaction certification and network integration projects.
  • Direct experience leading or working on transaction certification projects with card networks such as Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, or similar.
  • In-depth understanding of payment processing, card network flows, clearing, and settlement processes.
  • Familiarity with tokenisation, fraud prevention and advanced security measures in payment processing - Desirable
  • Understanding of alternative payment methods and real-time payments - Desirable
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, driving timelines and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders, including technical and non-technical teams, card networks, and third-party vendors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical and operational issues related to transaction processing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in the payments space (PCI DSS, EMV, 3D Secure, etc.)
