The Role

As a Lead Product Designer, you will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for user experiences within our product department. You won’t just execute designs; you will set the design direction, drive strategy across domains, and influence leaders across disciplines toward shared goals. You will move beyond passive execution to actively drive roadmapping and planning conversations.

What We’re Looking For

Experienced: You bring over a decade of expertise in product design, showcased by a portfolio that reflects "Lead-level" holistic thinking. Familiarity with SaaS or intricate digital platforms is an added advantage.

Systems Thinker: Your profound understanding of design systems and experience aligning them with engineering workflows, such as Storybook, sets you apart.

Collaborative Leader: You thrive in a fast-paced environment— as we adapt and reorganize our teams, you remain a flexible ally to PMs and POs.

Accountable & Reliable: You handle design workstreams with dependability and proactive communication, ensuring our team maintains high velocity and delivers top-notch results.

Tech-Forward: You are enthusiastic about leveraging Figma MCP and AI tools to elevate our UI/UX standards beyond conventional expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Exceptional Craftsmanship & Execution

Deliver top-notch UX and UI outputs that are precise, comprehensive, and seamlessly integrate with our design framework, product specifications, and accessibility norms.

Create production-ready solutions that exhibit a Lead-level holistic perspective, adeptly foreseeing technical limitations and edge cases on your own.

Maintain a brisk pace of output, providing deliverables within expected timelines while actively communicating potential risks and strategies for mitigation.

In-Depth Design Thinking & Research

Act as an engaged problem solver who applies structure to unfamiliar, intricate, and ambiguous challenges.

Establish clear requirements, make informed tradeoffs, and prioritize the most meaningful workstreams to ensure alignment with essential business and product objectives.

Conduct and synthesise user, customer, business, and technical research to guide and justify every design choice.

Strategic Leadership & Project Coordination

UK Team Project Oversight: Manage and coordinate design initiatives within the UK team, ensuring that all outputs adhere to our rigorous standards for quality and strategic alignment.

Proactive Workstream Management: Define problems, investigate options, and articulate recommendations with solid reasoning and tradeoffs to propel projects forward.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Product Owners to establish design direction and promote strategy across various domains.

Strategic Influence: Transition from execution to lead roadmapping and planning discussions, serving as a pivotal voice in how we address challenges for our users.
