Hybrid working in London, UK (At least one day in office per week)
We’re looking for a Lead Product Designer to join our Credit Compass team.
Small businesses move fast. Opportunities often don’t wait, and cash flow pressures can appear overnight. To keep going, and growing, SMEs need finance that’s as flexible and responsive as they are.
That's why we built iwoca. Our smart technology, data science and five-star customer service ensures business owners can act with the speed, confidence and control they need, exactly when it's needed.
We’ve already cleared the way for 100,000 businesses with more than £4 billion in funding. Our passionate team is driven to help even more SMEs succeed, through access to better finance and other services that make running a business easier. Our ultimate mission is to support one million SMEs in their defining moments, creating lasting impact for the communities and economies they drive.
We’re looking for a Lead Product Designer to own the design strategy for Credit Compass, iwoca’s business-health and financing readiness product. In this role, you’ll set a long-term vision for how businesses understand, improve, and leverage their financial health, while leading end-to-end design across product strategy, UX research, data visualisation, and polished UI.
ResponsibilitiesSetting the design and product direction for Credit Compass and new ventures: you’ll define how our products help small businesses understand their financial health and take the right steps to improve it. You’ll translate insight into a clear product vision and cohesive experiences that drive behaviour change and long-term engagement.
Leading end-to-end design across discovery, strategy, and delivery: you’ll own outcomes, not just outputs; mapping journeys, validating hypotheses, and shaping interfaces that balance user needs, data integrity, and commercial goals. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and data to ensure solutions deliver measurable impact.
Turning complex data into actionable insight: you’ll design dashboards and workflows that help business owners make confident decisions. Your strength in information architecture and data visualisation will bring clarity to complex datasets, making progress visible and next steps obvious.
Driving customer-centric decisions through research excellence: you’ll lead generative and evaluative research, turning qualitative and quantitative insights into product direction. You’ll ensure we continuously test, learn, and iterate with user needs clearly represented in every major decision.
Elevating design quality and maturity across the team: you’ll guide and support junior designers, helping to shape principles, patterns, and overall design quality. You’ll contribute to a strong design culture by promoting healthy collaboration, fast feedback, and consistent execution.
Delivering products that earn trust and become indispensable: you’ll define how Credit Compass provides ongoing value, driving engagement, financial understanding, and lending readiness. You’ll help business owners feel in control of their financial journey, returning because the product truly supports their next step.
