Title and Summary

Lead Network Architect

Overview
Responsibilities include design, architecture, implementation, security and support of large multi-site, multi-vendor network communication environments.
Role
• Manage network projects.
• Develop detailed requirements for upgrading existing corporate and MasterCard networks, as well as re-architecting network segments in order to facilitate new requirements, technologies and growth.
• Resolve network communications and operations problems impacting customer or backbone access and performance globally.
• Participate in telecommunications-related initiatives.
• Research and develop innovative solutions around unified network solutions.
• Support assigned regional projects, which include responsibility for planning; time and cost control; resource utilization and implementation.
• Support Vendor management.
• Provide strategic technical direction on highly complex network systems project or activities involving the selection and recommendation of design approach and systems software technology.
All About You
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Formal business or management training including Project Management, Strategic Planning, some finance experience and related curriculum. Knowledge / Experience:
• Five to eight years of overall IT experience in the following areas: - Networking, including LAN/WAN, Firewalls, wireless, Security and encryption technologies.
• Experience with TCP/IP protocol communications.
• Knowledge of Cisco’s and Arista product portfolio.
• Firewall experience: Checkpoint as well as Palo Alto.
• Load Balancer experience: F5 or Citrix Netscaler.
• SASE experience: Prisma Access or Netscaler.
• Cloud experience: AWS or Azure.
• Advanced knowledge of Project Management methodology and best practices.
• Knowledge of Network diagnostics, BGP, SNMP, VPN, SSH, MPLS technologies. Skills/ Abilities:
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Self starter with demonstrated listening skills.
