The Lead Intelligent Automation Analyst within the Global Investment Distribution Services (GIDS) division of SS&C plays a central role in uncovering, and then converting business problems into documented solutions, with ‘intelligent automation’ as a key tool in said delivery.

Increased effectiveness can take the form of efficiency & quality improvement, but also the design of and revenue generation. They are skilled in the use of multiple technologies and have mastered the use of Robotic Process Automation in an adaptable fashion, building solutions for processes previously deemed “unfit for traditional automation.”

About the Role

As a member of the GIDS Automation team, the Lead Intelligent Automation Analyst will collaborate with business stakeholders, solution analysts, and engineers from other disciplines to design solutions, create requirements, and develop enterprise grade RPA based solutions.  However, all challenges will be met with a strategic view, and able to identify where intelligent automation approaches are not the best solution for the problem at hand.

The individual will be versed in applying various design patterns and models to meet the need of the problem in front of them. They are comfortable working individually and within a team or scrum setting. They are adept at knowing when to apply RPA, and when (and how) to integrate another technology into the solution.

The Analyst must display proven experience delivering solutions that incorporate the use of:

  • RPA Development, ideally Blue Prism.
  • Tight integration with a Business Process Modeling (BPM) ecosystem
  • Surface Automation
  • Intelligent Document Processing (OCR, ICR, and ML)
  • Human-In-the-Loop (HIL)
  • API’s, ODBC/JDBC queries, JSON/XML/CSV and other flat file inputs
  • ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) model based solutions
  • Appreciation of LLM/ML capabilities to suggest/incorporate in designs.

Your Responsibilities

In addition to their primary role of designing new solutions, the analyst will also play a key role in the build out, testing, and long-term roadmap of the broader automation platform, infrastructure, and capability stack.

  • Partner with business stakeholders, solution analysts, and relevant technology resources to understand business requirements and transform them into effective, resilient automations.
  • Work closely with clients to understand challenges and provide solutions that may operate on tech outside of SS&C networks.
  • Create detailed business requirements, technical documentation, and SDLC components (e.g. PDD, SDD, etc.) in order to enable efficiently built documented solutions, and be able to coach others in the production of high quality requirements documents.
  • Individually or as a member of a development centered scrum team design, test, and implement RPA based automations
  • Identify the most efficient manner in which to deliver a solution to the business stakeholder while still meeting their requirements.
  • Participate in design sessions, estimations, Scrum ceremonies (PI/Sprint planning, sprint review, estimation, standups, etc.)
  • Support existing processes and implement change requirements as part of a structured change control process
  • Serve as the Lead Analyst in a scrum team of multiple analysts/developers working towards the same delivery goal.
  • Provide accurate estimates and communicate project develop progress
  • Identify new methods and capabilities through active prototyping, R&D, and continuous learning.

What are we looking for?
