Gib Oil Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of World Kinect Corporation, is an established supplier of fuel, lubricants and sustainable solutions to aviation, land and marine customers in and around Gibraltar.

12 Month Fixed Term Contract Position Summary:  As part of the Gib Oil finance team based in our Gibraltar offices and under direct guidance of the Finance Manager, you will assist the finance team with a wide range of reporting tasks to designed to provide the commercial and management teams with visibility of the company’s results.

Key Responsibilities

Collation and preparation of historical sales volumes to share with internal management team and external counterparties

Perform month-end cost of sales procedures and inventory reconciliations for select business lines of sight

Provide support in the completion of month end book stock reconciliations to physical stock reports provided by third party counterparties as well as other balance sheet and sales & cost of sales reconciliations.

Responsibility for the preparation of sales and cost of sales accruals and respective Oracle journals to accurately capture activity in the correct accounting periods
Preparation of a wide range of management information reports, including monthly results and operating review packs

General assistance with other financial related tasks and statutory reporting requirements as required by the wider Gibraltar finance team
 

Job Requirements

  • Ability to work well under pressure and to prioritise effectively
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work as part of a wider team

Experience

  • Ideal candidate should have 2-4 years of experience working in a finance related role

Professional qualifications

The ideal candidate will be working towards, or will have obtained, a full AAT (or equivalent) qualification.

ACCA or ICAEW qualified or part qualified candidates will also be considered, although not required for this role

Specific Skills & Knowledge Required

Candidate must be fluent in English (Verbal and written)

Advanced Spanish communication (verbal and written) is an advantage

Proficiency in using MS Excel (capacity to use functions, features and formulas to organize & analyze data)

Geographic Scope & Travel Requirements

Role will be office based in Gibraltar. No travel requirements.
