After more than 30 years delivering safe, reliable solutions to the rail sector, we are excited to announce that we have been awarded the Vegetation Maintenance contract for the Transport for London (TfL) network—strengthening our commitment to maintaining a safe and accessible rail environment for millions of passengers.

We are seeking an experienced and competent Lead fencer within our Fencing Team across multiple rail sites throughout London. Previous experience in installing 358 prison mesh fencing, expamet fencing, key clamp hand rail installation and barb wire installation is essential.

This is a safety-critical role responsible for implementing and maintaining safe systems of work during fencing operations carried out in live rail environments, including traffic hours, engineering hours, and depot works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure fencing works are delivered safely within protection limits.
  • Coordinate fencing activities, including plant, materials, and team deployment.
  • Carry out vegetation clearance and chainsaw operations to support fencing installation.
  • Ensure safe use and upkeep of tools and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with rail standards.
  • Liaise with control, engineering supervisors, and client representatives.
  • Stop work immediately if unsafe conditions arise.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Sentinel (valid sponsorship required)
  • Basic Track Awareness
  • Safe Use of Power Tools
  • Proven experience working within live rail environments
  • Strong understanding of rail safety standards and fencing-related risks
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Full UK driving licence
