Your Role
  • As a lead DevOps engineer, you will work side by side with your coworkers in an agile team in an environment which will allow you create the ideal conditions for your future career.
  • You will work closely together with the product owner and take ownership of the following topics: technical architecture, infrastructure, monitoring and DevOps tasks. You will be responsible for defining the architecture and the operation of our Kubernetes based cloud environment.
  • You will extend and define the architecture of our backend services and integrate additional external services.
  • You will be responsible to technical guide, coach and develop other DevOps team members and by their main contact for any technical questions
  • You will work closely together with security architects and engineers and be responsible to implement all required security checklists and other measures to ensure the cloud security and resilience of our cloud instances.
  • You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of three productive cloud systems which will be used by internal as well as external customers. You will be the main contact person for all technical requirements and issues regarding the cloud infrastructure.

As Lead DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the architecture, operation, and continuous development of our Kubernetes-based cloud environment and integrated services. You will provide technical leadership to the DevOps team, coach colleagues, and work closely with Product Owners and Security experts to ensure secure, stable, and future-proof cloud operations. In this role, you will be the key contact for all technical matters related to infrastructure, monitoring, and cloud security.

Your Profile
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • At least 5 years of experience in cloud operations and development, with strong expertise in Azure and Kubernetes.

  • Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructures, including CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) and security tool integration.

  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible) and monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Promtail).

  • Strong background in backend development (REST APIs, ideally Python/Django or Go) and microservices architectures.

  • Experience operating containerized SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL (Redis) databases as well as hyperscale GPU infrastructures with large datasets.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills in production cloud environments, combined with the ability to coach and technically guide DevOps and ML developers.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with a structured, proactive, and independent working style.
