About the role

Our Creative team is looking for a Lead Graphic Designer with a passion for film who can work across disciplines including print, digital and video to join us at our London HQ. You will be working closely with our in-house designers and video editors, as well as cross-functional teams to produce world-class creative.

The nature of this role is hybrid, and will require office presence for at least two days per week in the London HQ.

Where you'll have impact:
  • Leading the creative development of campaigns for theatrical releases, curated film programmes, and global brand initiatives;

  • Conceptualising and executing visually compelling design solutions across digital, print, and social media platforms;

  • Mentoring junior members on the team, providing guidance, support and constructive feedback on their work, overseeing the end-to-end delivery of creative assets;

  • Presenting ideas and design rationale to internal stakeholders with confidence and clarity;

  • Upholding and evolving the MUBI brand identity, ensuring visual consistency across all touchpoints;

  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across MUBI, as well as external partners, to deliver cohesive and impactful campaigns;

  • Proactively exploring new ideas and approaches to improve team workflows, creative output, and cross-departmental collaboration.

What you'll bring:
  • A contemporary design aesthetic, with proven conceptual and executional abilities across digital, mobile, print, and video;

  • A formal design education with 8+ years professional experience, including at least 3 years in a senior capacity;

  • Proven experience managing and mentoring creative team members;

  • Solid experience in motion graphics and art direction;

  • Professional proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and Figma;

  • Excellent understanding of graphics production techniques, including image manipulation, editing and compositing across various media;

  • Excellent project management and organisational skills; ability to juggle multiple tasks and set priorities;

  • A genuine passion for films and design, and a commitment to staying up-to-date with current design trends, tools and technologies.
