What You'll Do
In this role you will help grow and lead our Data Analytics team - a growing team within our broader International Data Insights organization. The Data Insights team is a diverse and talented group of individuals with strong data expertise and understanding of our customers' needs.
Building on 10 years of experience in the US, Flatiron's international team is scaling Flatiron's approach in new countries. Streamlined teams in each market are establishing partnerships with local cancer providers, and developing high-quality real-world data for researchers around the world. Data Analysts play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making, developing data models, building research-grade data sets, and conducting statistical analyses that support our customers in their efforts to advance the state of cancer care.
As part of this work, you will:

  • Lead a growing team of data analysts that is located across our London, Berlin and Tokyo offices.
  • Manage and support career growth for data analysts on the team.
  • Become a subject matter expert on our data and its capabilities.
  • Work closely with a cross-functional team (e.g., product managers, software engineers, oncologists, clinical data specialists) to develop new real-world data products.
  • Conduct and review tests to monitor quality of data sets to ensure research-grade data quality in our products, investigating data issues as necessary.
  • Conduct and present ad-hoc analyses in response to customer requests and internal questions.
  • Develop tooling and processes within the data analytics team to ensure scalability.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to develop tools and process improvements to optimize project execution for our custom solutions projects.
  • Develop dashboards for external and internal use cases.


Who You Are
You're a kind, collaborative and analytic problem solver and value the opportunity to think beyond the way things are. In addition,

  • You have a BS or MS from a technical field of study (e.g. data science, engineering, computer science, mathematics, applied statistics, health economics, etc.) with 4-8 years of relevant experience.
  • You have 1-2 years of people management experience.
  • You are proficient in SQL and R.
  • You have experience working with dashboarding tools such as Looker or Streamlit
  • You have experience working in Python or are excited to learn.
  • You have an understanding of key statistical concepts and the ability to generate and interpret statistical analyses.
  • You have experience collaborating on analytic projects, writing reusable code and using version control.
  • You are a clear and confident communicator who can break down complex data analyses to tell a compelling story.
  • You are a self-starter who can independently prioritize and who enjoys coming up with innovative solutions to challenging problems.
  • You are passionate about our mission to improve cancer care through data and technology.
  • You enjoy working in a fast-paced startup-like environment.


Optional

  • You have prior experience in healthcare.
  • You have prior Oncology or Clinical Data experience.

Preferred Primary Location: London office
The annual pay range reflected above for this position is based on the preferred primary location of the role which is listed in the job description. Salary ranges for other locations vary from the range reflected above. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual bonus and equity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
