Lead Cabin Products Design and Certification Engineer (m/f/d)
About us:
As we expand our operations in Germany, we are excited to grow our Cabin Products Development Team with this new role based in Hamburg, Germany, working with the global cabin products teams globally. In this role you will:
- Support the design, qualification, and certification of interior cabin products
- Provide technical oversight and guidance of current and future projects to global cabin product teams, including adherence to engineering, drawing requirements and processes
- Serve as technical lead supporting cabin product development projects, including participating in design reviews
- Generating test plans and reports to support product qualification.
- Lead and mentor a diverse group of teammates through technical issue problem solving, work independently as well as in a team environment. Therefore, you must be able to adapt to a changing work statement.
- Report to the Cabin Products Engineering Manager and work with multi-discipline global engineering teams, across multiple time-zones, to identify technical requirements and their associated solutions for active and upcoming projects

What you bring to the table:
Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree degree in engineering, within Stress/Structures/Mechanical or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering
Additionally preferred skills:
- Experience: You can demonstrate 10+ years' experience in related commercial aircraft design fields, preferably in an EASA Part 21J Design Organization environment. Experience can be from electrical, systems, or mechanical aspects of cabin products and with prior development and testing to component reliability requirements of a new product from initial concept through product introduction and support.
- Knowledge: You have worked with Boeing's engineering processes and systems before or gained comparable knowledge
- Collaboration: You are experienced in working effectively with global teams and are willing to help develop, mentor and coach less experienced staff
- Personality: You are a principled, reliable professional who values integrity, safety, and accountability, always striving for the highest standards of quality and ethical conduct. Inclusive and collaborative by nature, you communicate transparently, respect diverse perspectives and take ownership to drive results the right way
