Job Description

So, what are the main responsibilities of a Lead Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer in Netcompany?

As a Lead Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer you will:

  • Lead the BI workstream within large-scale, cross-functional projects.
  • Own the design and delivery of end-to-end BI solutions: from data modeling and architecture to BI dashboards and executive-level reporting.
  • Guide the data strategy, ensuring alignment between client objectives and technical implementation.
  • Mentor and support BI engineers across projects; perform code reviews, enforce best practices in DAX, data modeling, and Power BI.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define KPIs, gather requirements, and deliver interactive, scalable dashboards.
  • Focus on delivering analytics for sales performance, customer behavior, and forecasting.
  • Work on projects involving advanced KPI tracking, including user churn, app engagement, and load performance metrics.
     

Qualifications

What would make you a fit for the role:

  • Proven experience leading BI teams and owning full BI project lifecycles.
  • Expert knowledge of Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and report optimization.
  • Solid experience with Tableau, QlikSense, QlikView, or similar BI tools (proficiency level may vary).
  • Strong understanding of SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and dashboard performance tuning.
  • Experience in integrating data from multiple systems (e.g., SAP, call centers, marketing platforms, input/output metering systems).
  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Lean project methodologies.

It would also be a plus if you match some of the following:

  • MSc in  IT or related field.
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or similar BI certification.
  • Experience in sectors such as energy, banking, telecom, or public sector is a strong plus.
