Job Title: Principal Software Engineer
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Principal Software Engineer with deep expertise in the .NET ecosystem and Azure cloud services, to lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance applications. This role combines hands-on coding with architectural leadership and mentoring responsibilities. You will collaborate with several agile teams to deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions for one our most strategic products.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Define and drive the technical vision for .NET-based applications hosted on Azure.
- Architecture & Design: Design scalable, cloud-native architectures leveraging Azure services (App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, etc.).
- Hands-On Development: Write clean, maintainable C# code using .NET 8, Entity Framework Core, and modern design patterns.
- Database Expertise: Optimize data access strategies using Entity Framework Core and SQL Server for performance and scalability.
- Cloud Integration: Implement secure, resilient solutions using Azure PaaS components, storage, and networking.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Collaborate on automated build and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor senior engineers, fostering best practices in coding, testing, and architecture.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years in software development, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
- Technical Skills:
- Expert in C#, .NET 8, and Entity Framework Core.
- Strong experience with Azure services (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Storage, Key Vault).
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Database: Proficiency in SQL Server and performance tuning with EF Core.
- DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Experience working in and with agile teams.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication abilities and a proven ability to work independently and within a global, virtual team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Azure security best practices and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and CQRS patterns.
- Experience with Angular or other modern front-end frameworks.
