As a Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within Cloud Advancement & Transformation Solutions (CATS), you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality secure architecture solutions for various software applications on modern cloud-based technologies. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical architecture solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of project goals.

Job responsibilities
- Engages technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose technical approaches to meet current and future needs
- Defines the technical target state of their product and drives achievement of the strategy
- Participates in architecture governance bodies
- Evaluates recommendations and provides feedback on new technologies
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develops secure and robust cloud solution architectures, concentrating on reviewing and debugging code written by others to ensure the security and integrity of the overall system architecture.
- Identifies opportunities to enhance the security architecture by eliminating or automating the remediation of recurring issues, thereby improving the overall operational stability and security of software applications and systems.
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups , and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on Secure Cloud Solution concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Ability to define and enforce strategic access control framework, incorporating principles of least privilege, zero trust, and RBAC
- Strong ability to collaborate with engineering, security, and compliance teams to embed IAM best practices within secure-by-design and shift-left development frameworks
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Expertise with privilege access management strategies
- Experience with threat modeling and risk assessment to identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities early in the development process
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience
- Advanced knowledge of one or more software, applications, and architecture disciplines
- Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Industry Certifications like Microsoft AZ-500, AWS Certified Security, CCSP - Certified Cloud Security Professional
- Multi-cloud architecture and integration strategies
- In-depth knowledge of Regulatory Framework such as NIST, SOC2, GDPR.
- Experience in highly regulated industry
