We're looking for a passionate and pragmatic Lead Analytics Engineer to join and guide our Analytics Engineering team, helping to scale our stack for a new data-driven era at Swap.
This is a critical leadership role within the team, offering a high degree of ownership and the chance to directly shape and implement a scalable, modern data architecture. You’ll lead the development and maintenance of the data models that power our entire business from internal commercial insights for Sales and Finance to the trusted data sets enabling customer-facing agentic systems.

• dbt Project Leadership: Lead the technical vision, architecture, and scaling of our dbt project, establishing best practices for development, CI/CD, and code quality across the team.
• Strategic Data Modeling & Architecture: Drive the strategic design and maintenance of a robust, scalable, and high-performance core data warehouse (fact and dimension models) that serves as the single source of truth for all critical business functions and data products.
• Data Governance & Quality: Institute and enforce advanced data quality frameworks, comprehensive testing, PII governance protocols, and documentation standards to ensure data trust and reliability at scale.
• Cross-Functional Data Strategy: Act as a key strategic partner to commercial (Sales, Finance) and product leadership, proactively identifying data opportunities, translating complex business objectives into clear, executable engineering requirements, and managing the delivery roadmap.

• 7+ years of experience in a data-focused role such as Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or BI Development, with a track record of leading projects and teams.
• Expert, hands-on experience with dbt (dbt Core/Cloud) and a deep understanding of its advanced features and best practices for large-scale data transformation.
• Exceptional proficiency in SQL and expertise in various data modelling design patterns (e.g., Dimensional, Data Vault, Third Normal Form).
• Extensive experience working with a modern cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, etc.), including performance tuning and cost optimisation.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and influence technical direction.
