About Nothing

Nothing exists to make tech feel exciting again.

We’re building a different kind of technology company, one that puts design, emotion, and human creativity at the heart of everything we do. From the way our products look and feel to how we communicate and show up in culture, we believe technology should make you feel something.

Founded in London in 2020, we’ve grown from idea to global challenger in just a few years. Backed by GV (Google Ventures), EQT Ventures, and C Ventures, and investors like Tony Fadell (iPod), Casey Neistat, and Kevin Lin (Twitch), we’re now sold in 40+ markets with millions of users worldwide.

About the Team

We are looking for an expert-level visual design practitioner to help us imagine the future of Nothing's visual identity and brand expression. This role is central to the multi-disciplinary Industrial Design Team in King's Cross, London, where we invent, prototype and ship the technology of the future. You will be the senior visual design voice in the team, reporting to the Head of Industrial Design. We need someone who can embody our bold aesthetic direction and clear vision, ensuring excellence in how we show up in the world. Your work will have full creative ownership over the global packaging language and the visual identity guidelines for all future product launches, including Phone (3).

What You'll Do

  • Lead the vision for the future of Nothing's visual identity and brand expression, ensuring it is expressive and consistent across all global touchpoints.
  • Define the creative strategy and seamlessly transition between designing product silhouettes, UI concepts, light print materials, and revolutionary packaging.
  • Run complex projects independently, managing schedules and defining the clear creative vision that shapes how the world sees Nothing.
  • Produce boundary-pushing graphics, brand concepts, and visual systems across a wide range of 2D media and disciplines.
  • Work in direct collaboration with Industrial Designers and Engineers to embed the visual identity into our designed hardware products.
  • Champion a highly creative mindset that transcends traditional graphic design, demonstrating original concept generation that challenges boundaries.
  • Utilise experience working with tactile production methods and physical media to ensure our graphic design practice translates sharply to the physical world.

What We're Looking For

  • 6-10 years of professional design experience with a world-class portfolio demonstrating visual excellence.
  • Proficiency in the latest 2D design tools including Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and typography tools such as Glyphs or equivalent.
  • A genuine passion for culture of all kinds, and the ability to reflect that in your work, ensuring we are worldly and culturally aware.
  • Strong project management skills with the pragmatism and drive to manage time and workload independently.
  • You must be an owner and a visual storyteller whose bread-and-butter is creating boundary-pushing graphics.
  • Experience working with tactile production methods and physical media is a must-have for a hardware company.
  • Amazing collaboration skills and a hunger for creative and collaborative problem solving across multidisciplinary teams.

How We Work

  • We build better tech by moving fast. That speed demands direct collaboration and shared creative energy. We believe the best work happens when we're together.
  • Location: London (Kings Cross & Farringdon offices).
  • Working Pattern: This is a full-time, in-office role (5 days a week). We move fast, and that means being physically present. We design flexibility around personal needs, but we focus on the magic that sparks when we’re all in the same room.
  • Commute: We ask that you live within a 60-minute commute of your home office location.
